From little things big things grow.

Here is a collection of some of our favorite, most productive plants from over 25years of growing on this land. These plants have been passed to us through many hands. They are the ones we love the most and have shared the most.

Some we do not know the true names of but all we have lived with and make an amazing contribution to our systems. Most are edible, some biomass, others for fiber or to support the myriads of animal gardeners who live in Nikau Valley. We collect them from our hedges, gardens and food forests, pot them up and nurture them until they are strong enough to hit your soil growing.

Most of these plants are also perennial and able to be propagated for more stock or to pass on in your community.
